Amy Wright


14 year old Amy started skating age 5 when she was meant to be going for a day out in the car but because it was raining ended up de-touring to Dundee Ice Arena. She saw others getting lessons and wanted some herself because she instantly loved it. Amy started with Ally Mackie but he left shortly after. Amy has been coached by Simon and Debi Briggs ever since.

At age 6 Amy won the Louise Meotti trophy at the Dundee Annuals. The first Open competition Amy won was Dundonald Opens she was still only 6 years old . By age 9 Amy had passed all her field move tests and at age 10 she had competed in her first IJS competition at Sheffield.

Amy now has her Novice Competitive tests and competed in the 2012 British Championships. Amy is planning to compete in some Junior events this year. She has had her ups and downs in skating but still loves every bit of it bruises and all !
